| dc.description.abstract | El modelo económico chileno se ha sustentado en la actividad extractivista. Sin embargo, es necesario realizar cambios en el modelo que permitan nuevas formas de desarrollo local. ¿Podría la incorporación del cáñamo industrial en el área textil suplir esta necesidad? Este sector económico dejó de ser explotado y ha sido poco explorado en tiempos recientes, debido a la confusión generalizada y la falta de información, así como al desconocimiento sobre las diferencias fundamentales entre el cáñamo industrial y la marihuana, que es una planta psicoactiva. El mercado del cáñamo mundial ha experimentado un fuerte crecimiento en los últimos 5 años. Por lo tanto, es de interés realizar un análisis sobre el contexto chileno y las actividades de comercio que se generarán en torno a la fibra de cáñamo, identificando temas asociados a la oferta y la demanda, como la creación de empresas, el desarrollo de productos y los mercados potenciales. Se busca ampliar nuestro conocimiento sobre el resurgimiento de una industria manufacturera de cannabis y su potencial de mercado. The Chilean economic model has been based on extractive activity. However, it is necessary to make changes to the model that allow new forms of local development. Could the incorporation of the cannabis industry meet this need? This economic sector has ceased to be exploited and has been little explored due to widespread confusion and lack of information, as well as lack of knowledge about the fundamental differences between industrial hemp and marijuana, which is a psychoactive plant. The global hemp market has seen strong growth over the past 5 years. Therefore, it is of interest to carry out an analysis of the Chilean context and the trade activities that will be generated around hemp fiber, identifying issues associated with supply and demand, such as the creation of companies, the development of products and potential markets. We seek toexpand our knowledge about the resurgence of a cannabis manufacturing industry and its market potential. | |
